New Brand Added to Walton Group

The Walton Group has acquired Basics Tableware, a distributor of high quality tableware solutions based in Oxfordshire.

The deal adds a raft of new products and expertise to a Walton portfolio that has grown through acquisition over the past few years.

Sister companies already include Hotelware Supplies, YCE, and Cooltec Services.

Basics was established in Oxford in 1985 and has a showroom in Witney offering ceramic tableware, glass, cutlery, cookware, bar accessories and allied products for the hospitality industry.

It stocks items from brands such as Churchill, Dudson, Artis, Genware, DPS, Grunwerg, Vicrilla Glassware, Elia, Bonchef, Beaumont, Tablecraft, Zodiac, Rak, Harfield, Sango and Wedgewood.

The collaboration will enable Basics to access improved pricing structures, streamlined logistics, and a wealth of industry knowledge, creating a comprehensive hospitality supply and installation service.

Dane Walton, managing director of Walton Group, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome Basics Tableware into the Walton Group. This acquisition not only strengthens our portfolio but also enhances our ability to provide a comprehensive service to our customers.

Based in York, Walton Group offers a 360 degree service for the hospitality industry featuring light supplies, heavy equipment alongside full design and installation of commercial kitchens, cold room installation, air conditioning and full service contracts.

Mick Higgins, owner of Basics Tableware, said: “By leveraging the synergies within our group, we can offer unparalleled expertise and innovative solutions that meet the dynamic needs of the hospitality industry.

“We are committed to continuing to provide the same high-quality products and exceptional service our customers have come to expect.

“This partnership opens up exciting new opportunities for our business and allows us to serve our customers better.”
